I Am Not Ashamed

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.””

Far too often we are embarrassed, lowkey ashamed that we are Christian’s or labeled as a Christian. Why? Because of what we see on social media when it comes to Christianity, because of decisions we make that embarrass Christ and because of the inability to articulate the heart of God to an unbeliever.

But Paul reminds us that we are not to be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Why? Because it demonstrates the power of God towards those who love him. It demonstrates the ultimate sacrifice given to redeem us and it demonstrates the process to receiving the unbelievable gift of salvation - that it all starts and ends with faith in Christ. Then he seals it with the declaration - the just or the justified shall live by faith. Meaning the only way to fully recognize the magnitude of the gift given is to live it out.

Father help me to say it until I see it and believe it no matter what.
